Tudor: The angel who flew away

I miss Tudor...

She came to me in december 2003, when we were living in Göteborg. I managed to keep myself alive for some months without any animals at all around me, but I felt worse and worse with the time. When I left my mother's home in northern Sweden I left my Norweigian forestcat, Mimmi, and her son Adam behind too. So there I was, without any animals, and it felt so empty.

One winters day, I saw an add on the internet about a young Norweigian forestcat girl. She was ooh, so lovely. The add said that she was deaf, but that didn't change my mind about getting her. So I went to Malmö. Oh, my god, she was the cutest thing I had ever seen. A tiny, white, little ball of fur, with pink nose and ears and big, dark eyes. We went home by bus and she was so relaxed and sweet. I was so happy.

A couple of months after Tudor came to us, we got Paasah too. The girls soon became very good friends and they played a lot with eachother, especially when they were youngsters. They have been like sisters.

Tudor has been a very strong cat, living with her problems, both the deafness and a food allergy. When she was born, her mother didn't want to care for her, so she was fed with a bottle. I think her allergy came from the milk supplement, which is not as natural for a kitten as the mother's milk. Even though she had those allergic problems, she was always happy. A real little sunshine, lighting up the day.

Last summer (and now living in the countryside in northern Sweden) Tudor had her own babies. I was very concerned because I thought that maybe she wouldn't be able to care for the kittens, as she hadn't been cared for by her mother. But I was so wrong, she was SO happy to be a mother and she was the best little catmom you could ever imagine. I think that summer was the best time of her life.

Now, Tudor's daughter Bianca (Arguila Bianca) is living with my mother and her other cats, while her two sons Alf and Acce (Arctic Action) is living with us. Unfortunately, their mother left us in january, only three years old. I think she had been eating something that her body couldn't deal with. She died in my arms this late evening and it was a very emotional moment. No dry eyes, I tell you.

I miss Tudor very, very much, but I feel happy and thankful for the three wonderful years I got with her and I see a part of her in both her beautiful sons and her lovely daugher.

My little angel, I hope someday we will meet face to face, in a place without time and space...

Dead Prez - Way of Life

Way of Life

*guitar plays and birds in the background*

(Verse 1)
What you know about the running, the stretching
The cars, the weapons
The path, the journey
The jewels, the learning
The fear, the focus
The aches, the pains
The contact sparrin', the breaks, the sprains
The trial and error, the ranks, and belts
The spiritual growth, the science of breath
The tests, the techniques
The forms, the stances
The flow, the rhythm, the internal answers
The herbs, the healing, the quiet meditation
The truths reveal through daily dedication
The love for the art, the sweat on your shirt
The mind, the body, and the spirit that work
The feelings of failure, the hope to succeed
The battles of questions like "Should I smoke weed?"

(Verse 2)
The water, the thirst
The cleansing, the blessings
The flash of insights, the teachings, the lessons
The grappling and locking, trapping and boxing
The training and slacking
The starting and stopping
And stayin' committed, when your homies ain't with it
The hours or practice after the class is finished
The cause of your ignorance, flaws in your discipline
Broken laws of nutrition, and pork and dishin'
The vitamins and supplements
Salads and ointments

The kingships, pull joints in doctor appointments
The dues, the pads, the wraps, the gloves
The mouthpiece you left home, the taste of your own blood
The hunger, the blocks
The punches, the squats
The crunches, the example you set for the youngsters
The will, the skills, the kill or the hill
The separation between what's fake and what's real
The laws of physics, The class "comradery"
The vows of humility, the bow, the courtesy.

*guitar plays*

Paasah: The Queen

This cat...

...surely is a special one. This look she's got here is pretty common and it's saying more than a thousand words, doesn't it? Paasah expresses herself really good and you never have to wonder what mood she is in at the moment. She's been living with us for three years now and she's always been the queen of the family. She now rules over two adult dogs, one young dog and two young catboys. Nobody f*cks with queen Paasah. But she isn't just a hard boss, she's also the most charming and loving girl you can imagine. Lovely creature.

(and, as you can see, she loves food, haha)

This blog: To what purpose?

Well...

Last night I was thinking about maybe sharing some of my - more or less sane - thoughts, and also some of the photos I'm taking. I must admit that I've been feeling negative towards blogs; mostly, or maybe only, because they are so popular. I tend to be against a lot of the pop-stuff, spreading like diseases. But I did think twice and figured that this could really be a good way to get to share things with eachother. Yes...

Some late nights I use to think that I'm having some really wise thoughts coming on, like flashes of insight. Well, whether they really are that wise or not, I sometimes write them down, in case they turn out to be sensible. I don't wanna give those thoughts too much worth, but maybe something in them clings right to someone out there?

However and anyhow, I've written mostly about, what I consider to be, pretty deep things. It's a lot of attempts to answer questions like why the reality is the way it is and if everything really works the way most of us think it does. Also why humans behave like we do and what we could do to maybe become more awake and aware, and in that way make the world a better, brighter and warmer place to live in for all creatures on this earth.

My heart is burning warm for nature and all that there is to it. Nature and animals has always been the biggest interest of mine. More like a love than an interest, indeed. My second biggest interest is travelling. I have visited quite a lot of countries in my 22 years, but I dream of going to many, many more to experience the nature, wildlife, people and culture of those places. Africa, South America, Australia, Tibet and a lot of other countries are on my "wanna-go-to" list.

Anyway. My photos represent what I love in this world; nature, animals and different places, people and events. Those things that mean so much to me.
